PROFITEC INTRODUCES OMNIBILL.NET
Profitec Billing Services has taken the wraps off a Web-based replacement of its server-based master database, dubbed OmniBill.net. The new online hosted version of OmniBill component contains OmniCare CRM for order entry, change management, client contact, order processing and trouble management, all via a browser-based tool that interacts with the main OmniBill.net database. Users can work anywhere with Internet access, outsourcing of customer care is fully supportable. There is no need to install a client on the user desktop, thus simplifying installation, implementation and updates. OmniCare CRM also is available as a standalone application.
OmniSuite integrates the OmniBill customer-management and billing system with order entry, sales management and e-billing. The suite provides a range of capabilities from intelligent order entry with validation and financial decision making to customer-driven electronic billing analysis tools.
In addition to OmniCare CRM, Profitec also has made its OmniAgent sales channel-management system, its OmniSignup consumer-oriented online order-entry system, and its OmniView electronic bill presentment and payment system Web-based.

VLM INTRODUCES ASP VOIP SERVICE BILLING PLATFORM
VLM International Inc. has launched eVoIP+, an ASP VoIP service billing platform.
The ASP hosted billing package enables VoIP providers to easily, accurately and economically invoice customers, VLM says. The company is including its Internet-based bill presentment, eBillPLUS+, in the platform.

UDP RELEASES NEW REPORTING TOOL
UDP is releasing a new reporting tool called COMET Explorer. COMET is UDP’s proprietary program for end-user billing. COMET Explorer offers flexibility in creating customized reports. UDP customers now can use the basics of Core Reports, the detail of Custom Reports or, now, Explorer Reports, which lets users design their own reports to present any combination of data in any format desired.
The company says COMET offers on-demand ad hoc reporting capabilities to provide quick turnaround and self-sufficiency.
Customers can use Explorer for sales, accounting or any other business purpose, UDP says. The program also can be used to run reports for sales trending. For example, it can detail the number of customers who signed up for DSL or VoD in a given zip code, during a specific timeframe.

CONCRETIO ENHANCES OSS TO AUTOMATE UNE-P TO ON-NET MIGRATION
Concretio Inc. has enhanced its Complete Suite OSS products to allow the automatic conversion of customers riding UNE-P to an on-net platform. Complete Suite now automates the loop and porting transactions along with updating the switch and creating and uploading the CNAM, LIDB, CARE and E911 transactions for each order.
Complete Suite is available a la carte, so if a provider has a gap in its OSS and only needs one module, it can choose.
Complete Suite also can be branded for CLECs looking to offer wholesale services, and that need an OSS to process orders.
The Complete Suite OSS modules are all connected by an underlying Work Flow Management System that includes predefined or user-defined tasks to completely automate the customer-acquisition process. The Complete Suite provides UNE-P and UNE-L ordering capabilities, including ILEC gateway; inventory management; switch and network element interfaces; and ancillary database interfaces for number portability, LIDB, CNAM and E911.
